Two weekend warriors from New England and a local sportsman travel deep into the Yukon Territories and encounter a beast unseen in those parts since the last ice age. A hasty retreat to safety falls short of avoiding a confrontation and one of the hikers is mauled to death. Leaving a dead hiker and a bear carcass behind, the two remaining hikers make a run to the bush plane's pick up spot by the river, twenty five miles away. Summer snow squalls, freezing rain, a pack of wolves and a grizzly bear sow with cubs make their retreat to safety more difficult than they ever imagined.

Trash t.v queen Laura Palazzio has build a brand and a massive following in Spanish television by peddling the minor tragedies and dysfunction of middle class Hispanic immigrants in the United States. Through her talk show 'Laura en America', she exploits, humiliates and ridicules her own people, until one day a disgruntled guest on her show brings a gun and shots are fired. A chaotic chain of events lead to Laura Palazzio being kidnapped by a transvestite, and a husband and wife team who had been employed as actors on the show. Unsure of what to do with a kidnapped celebrity, they turn her over to a local drug dealer, who sends Laura Palazzio back to her home country where old enemies are waiting.
